Coming Home to Sa: Opening and Balancing Your Root Chakra

September 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm PDT

Guest instructor Gavin Frank returns with his unique blend of harmony and chanting to balance and open your root chakra. In this immersive workshop, Gavin will weave together sound, movement, and guided journaling to help you connect with your root chakra, the foundational energy center of your body. This chakra is associated with a sense of safety and security, grounding, stability, energy levels, and more.

Come home to yourself.

Through chanting, movement, breath, the Indian scale, and vocal improvisation, explore what it feels like to be rooted, supported, and at home with your body and voice. Be guided to use your voice to cultivate a sense of trust, stability, resonance, and inner support.

Sa, the home note of the Indian scale, offers a simple point of return—a sound you can come back to, listen to, and feel into. From this grounded place, your voice opens up naturally without force or the anxiety of performing. You’ll explore sound, movement, and improvisation in a safe and supportive environment.

The workshop also offers a taste of The Sacred Octave, Gavin’s self-paced online voice course, where you journey through the eight notes of the Indian scale, exploring their relationship with your body, breath, and movement.

No vocal experience is required.
